Blue Lake: A bit of a further drive from Denver, the seven-hour road trip to Blue Lake is well worth it! Spectacular views that only an 11-mile (round-trip) hike can get you. Become a true Coloradoan with this hike!

Wheeler Geologic Area: Looking for some Colorado history? The five hour drive to Creede will lead you to the Wheeler Geologic Area, where you can see how the 30-million year old La Garita Caldera volcano created the Wheeler Geologic fragments. Long drive, but great history!
