Governor's Park
Within view of visitors to the sunroom in the Colorado Governor’s Mansion, the tiny park is not the inspiration for naming this neighborhood. Rather, it’s the Colonial Revival-style mansion itself. Oh, and then there’s the bar. Govnr’s Park Tavern anchors the restaurant scene in this lively neighborhood, hosting governors’ acceptance speeches and hopping happy hours for more than thirty years. Surrounding a few blocks of good eats, are a variety of apartments, condos and homes. Close to downtown, Speer Boulevard, and 6th Avenue, the central Denver location is convenient to recreation and entertainment.
