Uptown
People are happy in Uptown. Whether it’s because of the plethora of restaurants—acclaimed to casual—or the easy commute to downtown offices and a major hospital complex (employs 10,000), Uptown emits a positive vibe and a “you wanna be here” attitude. From residential side streets that boast a funky mix of Denver’s architecture through the ages (Queen Anne, Victorian, Denver Square), walk to a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and shops along 17th Avenue—Denver’s Restaurant Row. Downtown is west, City Park due east, and there’s plenty of distractions in between—mostly patios serving yummy drinks and eats.
