Since the late 1970’s the Washington Park neighborhood has become one of Denver’s premier inner city places to call home. Built in 1899, the 162-acre Washington Park is a local recreational haven and is one of Denver’s largest and finest parks, with running and cycling paths, the city’s largest flower gardens, a recently built recreation center, summer concerts, volleyball, and of course, the park is very dog-friendly. Stretching from I-25 to Speer Boulevard and from University Boulevard to Broadway, the neighborhood is rich with entertainment, like the cluster of small shops and restaurants on South Gaylord and South Pearl Streets. |
